For 33 years I worked for the Federal Government. The Department of Defense and the Department of Justice offered challenging and rewarding opportunities. I started out as a human factors engineer, and advanced until I was a senior program administrator. High points seem to involve things I experienced outside of the office: learning to drive armored vehicles, flying in military airplanes and helicopters, flying with DEA Special Agents over Columbia, South America, and observing law enforcement operations from the inside. I have the greatest respect and admiration for the talented and dedicated professional soldiers and law enforcement personnel I was privileged to support.
